An autumnal pattern
I got inspired by one of my favourite times of year to create this halloween-y pattern

New work for US health and well-being magazine Experience Life. Illustrating some of the foods and nutrients that can be beneficial for sleep. AD by Jennifer Jacobson
A selection of packaging projects that I’ve worked on over the years. I always like getting these kinds of commissions!
A personal piece inspired by the film Fire of Love about volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft.
A spring-inspired personal piece - actually a reworking of one of my fox drawings from a few years back
A little late posting this here! An image for the summer solstice.
I was inspired to create a cover for the beautiful Echo Mountain, Lauren Wolk’s middle grade title. The story is about a young girl and her family forced to move to a mountain community in Maine during the Great Depression.
A personal piece - inspired by the island Klovharu in the gulf of Finland, where Moomins creator Tove Jansson spent her summers
I loved working on this set of covers for the Pocket Mountains Walks in the Western Isles series. This was my third set of books for the publishers of pocket-sized walking guides. I hope I can go and visit some of these beautiful islands one day. AD by Robbie Porteous.
Last year I was asked to create an illustration for the Girl Scouts of the USA. They wanted an image of a cookie booth and a girl scout ambassador with some younger members - I had to be careful to show the uniform and badges correctly!
My latest over on the Why It Matters series for Pinter and Martin. Publishing January 2022. Deisgn and AD by Blok Graphic
Don’t forget to look up! A bit of personal work whilst waiting for feedback.
An autumnal gif inspired by the film Fantastic Fungi. Did you know some fungi are bioluminescent?
My third picture book for Abbott to promote diabetes awareness amongst children and their families. I worked with Attention Global on Marina and the Microscope - a story about a young inventor with diabetes and her quest to learn about about the inner workings of her body.
I loved creating nearly ninety(!) illustrations for the Weekend Walks series for Pocket Mountains, an independent publisher of guide books based in Scotland. Art direction by Robbie Porteous.
A new cover for Graydon House Books by Anna E. Collins, publishing January 2022. It’s a ‘delightful romcom about an interior designer who teams up with an enigmatic architect at her firm to get revenge on her ex the only way she knows how: by building a spite house next door.’ Art direction by Gigi Lau.
The second book for Abbott has a more fantastical theme. Riley is a young wizard whose magic goes awry when her glucose levels are unchecked!
I’ve been busy working with Attention Global on three storybooks for a campaign around diabetes awareness for Abbott.
I’m excited to share some pages from the first one, Billy and the Bionic Badge, which tells the story of basketball fanatic Billy and his diagnosis with Diabetes. The book shows him getting to grips with a glucose monitor that attaches to the back of his arm - something I never knew existed before I worked on this project!
The books are downloadable online and distributed as print copies amongst organisations that support children and families with diabetes.
More belated Christmas content! My last one for Hannaford Fresh magazine, featuring Alyse Whitney and her ‘dipmas’ tradition - over Zoom in 2020.
Bit late posting this - Christmas seems like a long time ago! But I was thrilled to be asked to create page decorations for the 2020 Christmas RadioTimes.
