My cover for the summer edition of the Fabian Review, the magazine of the Fabian society. This issue focuses on The Green New Deal.
Two images for US supermarket Hannaford Fresh’s magazine. The main illustration was to accompany a piece about the author’s memories of various Lobster dinners.
Three covers and lettering commissioned by Pocket Mountains for their series of pocket-sized Scottish city walking guides. It was really nice to do something a bit different and focus on architectural landmarks for these, I drew inspiration from vintage travel posters.
A few more spreads from Being a Ladybird, the picture book I worked on with Wayland books, written by Annabelle Lynch. The third in the Being a Minibeast series follows the life cycle of a Ladybird through the seasons.
The follow up to Being a Bee and Being a Butterfly, this is my artwork for the first spread of Being a Ladybird for Wayland books.
Another personal piece. I’d love to work on some more wildlife illustrations, I’m at my happiest in nature! Using a little more texture than usual in this one.
I enjoyed getting back into some pattern making recently, these were inspired by marsh plants.
I loved working on a poster for Bristol’s Tobacco Factory. They wanted a lively scene showing all the different aspects of the venue to celebrate their 25th anniversary in May.
A big change for me this year has been starting to use an iPad to create work. Here are some of my personal pieces created in Procreate.
I made my first ever gif! Can’t wait to add some movement to more of my artwork.
Thought I’d try my hand at some character studies. Pretty pleased with how these foxes came out!
To start off 2019, here’s some work I did last year for a financial services client, and can finally share! I enjoyed the restriction of using a limited colour palette that the client provided.
Some pages from the Being a Butterfly book which arrived this week!
I can finally share some spreads from my second picture book, Being a Butterfly! The follow up to Being a Bee, this is the second in a series of four about different mini beasts. This book follows the life cycle of a Holly Blue butterfly. Published by Wayland, it's available now!
I forgot to post this at the time but here's my map that was featured inside the YA novel Lily's Mountain that I illustrated the cover for last year. Interesting to work in black and white for a change!
I'm delighted to reveal my cover illustrations for a further seven Sophie Kinsella titles. Following the success of the bestselling My Not So Perfect Life in 2017, I was commissioned to illustrate the main characters for her seven standalone novels. Surprise Me recently topped the UK book charts. Published by Penguin Random House.
