Another one for Madison Magazine’s Essayist column, this time about recovering from burnout
I loved creating this piece to sit alongside an article for BBC’s Countryfile Magazine, by author and nature writer Nicola Chester. She reflected on her time working on a farm and the women who had stewarded the land before her.
This was my piece for the fantastic Major Arcana exhibition that took place back in November. 22 Bristol illustrators created artworks for each of the Major Arcana tarot cards, and I got The Moon!
I’m a big supporter of the RSPB and the amazing they work they do so I was thrilled to be asked to illustrate the cover of their 2024/5 annual report.
The cover was on the theme of peatland restoration and they wanted it to feature some of the species found in these special habitats including bog bean, sundew, curlew and water vole.
My contribution to Madison Magazine’s June issue. This illustration accompanied a column by Hanns Kuttner about his wife’s cancer diagnosis in the midst of a house move.

I illustrated research group RAND Europe’s annual report, Spotlight
The client wanted montage style illustrations for the four teams featured in the report - Defence, Security and Justice; Science and Emerging Technologies; Education, Employment and Skills; Health and care - as well as nine spot illustrations highlighting some of the research areas.
I was approached by Traveler of Charleston magazine with a commission to create a new, map of downtown Charleston, SC, after they had seen a previous map of the city I illustrated some years ago. The brief was for the map to be both decorative and usable for visitors.
New work for Experience Life magazine, these ones accompanied an article on being mindful in mindless moments. Always a pleasure to work on a feature with Experience Life!

I was surprised and delighted that my entry for the 2024 World Illustration awards was ‘Highly Commended’! My illustrations for Waitrose’s Christmas Village pop up chocolate box came second in the Design Product and Packaging professional category. I was really delighted to find out one of my projects has been shortlisted for the World Illustration awards! The Waitrose Winter Village Chocolate box was one of thirteen entries in the Design Product and Packaging Professional category to be selected for the awards, that are presented by the AOI and Directory of Illustration. Many thanks to my agents at The Artworks and the Waitrose design team for the commission.
I illustrated the cover and interior illustrations for a walking guide to London for Pocket Mountains. The pocket-sized guidebook is fully illustrated with over 30 full page illustrations and spots. The book is available now from Pocket Mountains online store

I really enjoyed illustrating a range of greetings cards for Bristol based card publisher Stormy Knight. The ‘Great Outdoors’ is aimed at those who like outdoor activities and spending time in nature
