Children's books for diabetes awareness

I’ve been busy working with Attention Global on three storybooks for a campaign around diabetes awareness for Abbott.

I’m excited to share some pages from the first one, Billy and the Bionic Badge, which tells the story of basketball fanatic Billy and his diagnosis with Diabetes. The book shows him getting to grips with a glucose monitor that attaches to the back of his arm - something I never knew existed before I worked on this project!

The books are downloadable online and distributed as print copies amongst organisations that support children and families with diabetes.

Rock Crystal cover

A self-directed cover for one of my favourite books. Rock Crystal tells the story two siblings who get caught up in a snowstorm on their journey from their grandparents house to their home in a neighbouring Alpine village. I just love the descriptions in this simple story…

“Among the high mountains of our country there is a little village with a small but needle-fine church spire. Conspicuous above the green of abundant fruit-trees, this spire - because the slates are painted vermilion - can be seen far and wide against the faint blue of the mountains"
